Trump's Legal Issues: Orange Hair Could Be the New Black

Image
It's difficult to know where to begin with Donald J. Trump and his various legal transgressions. Only weeks ago he was acquitted of impeachment on his actions of culpability in inciting the US Capitol riot on January 6th by the U.S. Senate. The historically unprecedented circumstances of a former president being impeached set a likely possiblity of a future or even current Democratic president being impeached by a Republican controlled Congress, just for spite. However spineless you may think some Republican senators were, verbally scolding Trump for riling up his lunatic, radical fan base on one hand, yet voting to acquit on the other hand, well sadly, this is where American politics has ended up. Believe it or not and yes, it's beyond comprehension, Donald Trump, despite all the madness, mismanagement and hopefully we'll soon get to the bottom of, criminal activities before and even during his four year term, received an incredible 74.2 million votes (numbers cou

Brexit: Regrets, Economic Consequences and Scottish Independence

Image
The Brexit referendum took place on June 23, 2016 (www.gov.uk). The story and vote was lightly covered here in the US. At  the time, the battle to eliminate ISIS, Donald Trump and his Stormy Daniels escapades, and of course, the pointless, money wasting Robert Mueller investigation were all seemingly more important stories. The monumental decision to leave the European Union passed by a slim 52-48 percentile result. Other than large cities London, Manchester, Liverpool, to name a few, all regions of England (strongest results coming from the Midlands) voted to leave. Wales also voted to exit the EU bloc, while Northern Ireland and Scotland (with highest vote to remain over 60%) choose to stay (numbers courtesy of Statista.com). As time drew closer to the original withdrawal date of March 29, 2019 (date courtesy of BBC) the news media began, in earnest, picked up on the coverage. Around the world the realization of the impact on not just the UK and the EU, but internationally b

The "Abraham Accords" Diplomacy Made Through Cash and Bombs

Image
First off, for those of you that the unfortunately titled "Abraham Accords" don't ring a bell it is the internationally "acclaimed" opening of relations signed between Israel and two Gulf monarchies: UAE and Bahrain and a month later, North African nations: Morocco and Sudan. The original treaty was signed on the White House lawn in September of 2020 and Morocco and Sudan joined a month later. It was quickly lauded as a major breakthrough in relations between countries previously at odds due to Israel's actions toward Palestine in Gaza and especially the settlement buildings in West Bank. Jared Kushner and Mike Pompeo, after bruising their hands patting each other on the back managed to bribe two poor North African nations ; Morocco and even the Sudan whose government still were on the list of state sponsors of terrorism the day before their inclusion. This decision certainly had to make one wonder what was the obvious motive behind why the Sudan o

The Death of the US Working Class and the Evils of Ultra Capitalism

Image
There hasn't been a more unfortunate consequence of  modern day society than that of the virtual disappearance of the working class, AKA middle class. The spread of an ultra-capitalist, feudalist system, where making even a modest living is becoming almost obsolete, is sending a clear message of not only who will forever run things but also who the really important ones are. Hedge fund managers, CEO's of Defense Corporations, Wall Street Mega Banks and of course the mother of all capitalist money funnels, commercial real estate. There's also the Silicon Valley tech billionaires; sure you always hear how well they treat their staff but there's only a very few who'll ever reach the highest peak of the payroll. Marxisms  social conflict theory is so prevalent during these current times it's almost prophetic. Considering the Manifesto was written in 1840 it's quite astounding so many ideals from that piece of literature still remains so rele

The Forgotten Opioid Crisis and It's Lasting Effects On America

Image
The news cycles were all over the Opioid Epidemic, it was mid-winter 2019, the deaths continued to pile up from sea to shining sea. The Midwest was being hit especially hard. Dayton, Ohio, a city of only 140,343 (worldpopulationreview.com) was pummeled by the death drug to the tune of 378 fatal overdoses in 2017 alone, according to numbers compiled by americanprogress.org. The figures did drop significantly over the next two years, thanks to the media spotlight being shined on this small, previously insignificant Ohio enclave. By January 2020, covid-19 arrived on our shores. The death toll from the coronavirus began to rise, by late February Americans were forced inside and another epidemic replacing the opioid crisis seemed complete. For those of us well versed in this subject we were strongly aware that some super flu wasn't going to stop users from using, and people from dying. The dreaded opiate derivative fentanyl made its unceremonious street debut as a cheaper and strong

Israel v. Iran: A War That Could Wreck the Middle East

Image
How much more Israeli military aggression can Iran and other potential belligerents take? Israel's daily bombing raids in Syria has become the worst loosely guarded secret by most western media outlets. Without any declaration of war, Israel has avoided condemnation from any of the world powers. They've been on a militaristic mission to seek out and destroy every Iranian entity with any influence in Syria. Their strongest and most able rival, being Hezbollah, now considered a terrorist organization by the US government, has been Israel's main target. Seemingly, a war between the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corp  (IRGC), may be inevitable. With not much regard for international law or civilian casualties, Benjamin Netanyahu and his military brass has certainly been on the war path with Bashar Al Assad's regime in Damascus, and even more so, Iranian regional influence in any part of the Middle East. The shocking government sanct
